Introducing: the New KV Wishbox

In October I mentioned that this winding-down year still holds a lot more excitement at Katya Valera. First, as announced a few weeks ago, came the brand new fabric birthstone line featuring six personalized designs. (Which you should totally check out if you haven't!)

And now it's time for the next exciting announcement: the new development of KV Wishbox! While Katya Valera's box used to be seasonal, it's now a monthly subscription box and it works a bit more simply.

When choosing a Wishbox subscription (yep, there are options to fit every preference!) you get to wish for three things:

1- Subscription length: one month (great for just giving it a try!), three months, or six months.
2- Jewelry type: earrings, necklaces, or both.
3- Metal family: gold (can include shiny gold, matte gold, bronze, copper, etc.), silver (can include shiny silver, antiqued silver, gunmetal, black, etc.), or both.

And you get exactly what you wish for!

Each Wishbox goes out the first week of every month, and the cut-off for each box is the 20th of the previous month. So be sure to order by November 20th for your first box to go out the first week of December. Buuut since it's that time of year and any of the above options would make a wonderful Christmas gift, please feel free to let me know if you would rather your gift subscription start in January! :)

You'll receive one piece per box per month, and you get to keep every piece of jewelry you receive! Each piece will be a surprise and can be a brand new design not in the shop, a one-of-a-kind piece, a variation on a design currently in the shop, a piece currently in the shop, or a past piece. You never know!

Summer 2016 KV Wishbox

It's that time again! I'm so excited to announce that Katya Valera's Summer 2016 handmade jewelry subscription box, KV Wishbox, is now available!

The Summer Collection that you'll get to browse is called Drops of Summertime, and it's inspired by the quintessential moments of summer days and nights, from beach breezes to campground stargazing. 

Just like with the Spring KV Wishbox, purchasing this box lets you browse this upcoming Summer Collection weeks early at a huge (and I mean huge) discount! (We're talking a savings of as much as $100 with three purchased wishes depending on the items, as opposed to buying them individually once the full collection is available for individual sale.) You'll get the option of purchasing one, two, or three wishes, and then you'll get to browse the new Summer online catalogue to your heart's content. When you're ready, you'll make three wishes--for the three pieces you want most--and then you'll receive however many of those wishes you purchased. So best bet? Buy three wishes so you know you'll receive all the pieces you love!

And if you love more than 3? No worries--all the pieces will be available when the full collection hits the shelves on Etsy on June 13th.

There are a few important changes to the box this season. When you purchase a box, you'll get to browse all of the pieces--you won't have to choose between gold/bronze and silver/gunmetal. So even more options for you! There are only 7 boxes available. And once an item is claimed (both wished for and granted), it's no longer available to be wished for--so only one granted wish per item. The summer box is only available until May 29th, and of course the early bird really gets the worm (or at least has the most options!) with this one, so getting on this box right away is definitely a good idea!

Greeting Cards Have Arrived + KV Wishbox Giveaway

I'm back today with two big shop announcements! First off, a dream come true for me:

Printed greeting cards have come to the Streetlights at Midnight Collection at KV Designs! Previously, printable digital downloads were for sale, which still are, but now the real thing is too, complete with signature midnight blue envelopes.

I am SO excited about this! For right now, seven of my card designs are listed, and I'm working to get all 39 designs listed. But until then, here is this listing that will get you any of the printable greeting card designs in printed format that are not yet individually listed as such.

Now giving a special card to someone you love with chronic illness is even easier. And I promise you, doing so will mean more than you know.

In other news, a possible dream come true for you!

That's right--I've gone crazy and am having a KV Wishbox giveaway! If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, hopefully you've seen it, but if not, there's still time to enter! Introducing . . .

If you follow me on any form of social media, you've probably gathered by now that there is something BIG happening at Katya Valera on January 15th. Well here we are! You're actually going to get two huge announcements today because they involve each other, so hang on!

First came Katya Valera's new design (which I am thrilled with, by the way--man, my designer did a fine job! ;) and Katya Valera's website released in December. And now, ladies and gentlemen, the last two of my four big developments for 2016:

Just about every spare minute the past 3 1/2 months (that's it?!) have lead to this. First a flicker of an idea (and if I have one of those I've learned I need to hang on tight because I am inevitably going to make it happen), then thinking and planning, planning, planning to the point that my brain hurt, then gathering everything, then the making and the photographing and the editing. Whew. (One night alone I worked online for about 9 hours. That's just an example for you.) But I have to say, this has been a blast. I have never before worked so hard or had so much fun on something for Katya Valera. Turns out creativity + tedious organizational tasks + self-imposed pressure = about as happy as it gets. Who knew? Plus The Civil Wars on repeat in the background helped a lot too. But I digress...

First, starting in 2016, I'll be releasing seasonal collections at Katya Valera, with the Spring Collection coming to the shop on March 1! 

I can't tell you what all is in it yet, but you know of course that it's all jewelry handmade by me, and I can add that there will be something for everyone, with dozens of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings in gold, silver, bronze, and gunmetal. As the release date nears, I'll be announcing the collection name and a description of the pieces. So keep your eye out for that info!

And second, the big secret is finally out: today I am launching KV Wishbox, Katya Valera's seasonal jewelry subscription box! 

The Spring 2016 KV Wishbox is available on Etsy as of right now (right now!) and lets you browse and snag pieces from the upcoming, not-yet-released Spring 2016 Collection at a lower price than the pieces will cost once they're available for individual sale.
