A Katya Valera Polyvore Winter

A good while back I did my first Polyvore post and then discovered I could include my own pieces in the sets I make. It's been a while since I did a Katya Valera/Polyvore post, and I had so much fun with it back then that I figured it was time for a winter version. :)

As usual, can I just have these clothes??

The casual look: "Jewel Tone Statement"

This set features my purple, silver, and blue statement bib, which I love. It's available here.

And here's a close-up of that necklace for you. :)

The Christmas Party Looks: "Christmas in the South"

Set #1 features my dainty silver pendant necklace (last one available here!) and these juicy teal earrings that I would totally wear if my ears could handle even being touched, much less having holes in them with things hanging from them... (earrings available here).

Set #2 features my brand new green and gold bib necklace--so Christmassy! (available here)

And the grand finale: "Golden Winter"

You know, for all those award shows and nights at the opera and such we all have in the winter... Can I just please have this dress?? This is one of the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen. I just had to put my clear and gold statement bib with it (available here).

And there's lots more where those came from in my shop! Handmade jewelry makes a fantabulous Christmas gift (of course I'm not giving any this year ... yeah right ;) especially when it's one-of-a-kind as many of mine are!

Plus, in case you missed it on Instagram:

Yep, Tuesday was my 3rd Etsyversary, so I'm having a sale to celebrate! The sale is good through this Friday the 12th, so here's your chance to finish up some Christmas gifts and shop small--for a steal! Happy shopping! ;)

Wear-It Wednesday: In the Happy Summertime

Well, this is the part where I'd share how I'm doing since my surgery, but since my day started with more pain than I'd like to talk about, I won't. ;) On to happier things!

When I first figured out I could use my own jewelry in Polyvore, I was so excited to style these earrings. They are one of my favorite pieces I've made!

Jeans // Top // Green Bracelet // Black Bracelet // Earrings // Sandals

Of course I had to put them with some bright yellow skinny jeans and a white top. I added black strappy sandals and finished the look with layered green gemstone and black stretchy bracelets. I think this look is so perfect for summer!

Dress // Jacket // Necklace // Bracelets // Earrings // Sandals

For the second look, I put a comfy denim jacket over a flowy white maxi dress, with strappy yellow sandals. I added green bracelets, a long yellow necklace, and of course the earrings.

I think these looks are so bright and happy! And of course the earrings are available in my Etsy shop!

Would you wear these looks, or these earrings? Are you on Polyvore? You can follow me here! And are you as excited for summer as I am? We waited all winter for this! ;D

Wear-It Wednesday: The Vintage Bohemian

Well friends, would you believe it snowed yesterday? (Actually, I'd say it did where a lot of you are, but still...) It's April, people. Easter is on Sunday. This should not be happening:

And of course, the one day this week I really needed to take pictures outside, it's snowy, windy, cold nastiness out there. Sigh.

Anyway, we're gonna act like it's still spring out there and have some Polyvore fun!

Top // Cami // Jeans // Bracelet // Necklace // Sandals

I paired this lace ruffled top and white cami with white skinny jeans and nude and white sandals. The look is tied together with a gold lace bracelet and a geometric gold pendant necklace.

Dress // Shrug // Bracelet // Necklace // Sandals

And this fern green maxi dress with leather belt and tan shrug is completed with brown leather sandals, a geometric gold pendant necklace, and a bronze and gold cuff bracelet.

Polyvore is just way too much fun, you guys... And both sets feature one of my Katya Valera necklaces, a unique piece perfect for spring and ready to complete a casual or fancier look!

You can find it for sale here in my Etsy shop, along with details and more photos.

So have you given Polyvore a try? Do you find it as ridiculously fun as I do? And do you think we're finally done with the snow now?

Wear-It Wednesday: Burnished End of Winter

Is the end of winter finally here? For real? Here in these parts, we've been known to have snow in April, so we may not be done with that stuff yet. But up in the area of the 60s for the next few days' forecast is giving me hope.

So in this lovely stage of spring but not quite all thawed out, here are some end of winter fashions featuring some jewelry by none other than Katya Valera, of course. Thanks to fantastic Polyvore. :)

Dress // Belt // Necklace // Bracelet // Shoes

This bohemian teal sheer dress is accented with a copper belt and copper flats. I paired them with this bib necklace and this copper filigree bracelet, both available at Katya Valera.

Jeans // Tank Top // Sweater // Necklace // Ring // Bracelet // Shoes

And this necklace completes a casual look too! I've placed a tan, short-sleeved sweater over a tan cami, with dark skinny jeans and studded copper flats. The look is completed with the bronze bib necklace, and then a tan cuff bracelet and a copper leather ring (not mine).

So while we're at it, can I just have these clothes, please? Can this count as a wish list? Ugh. I love these outfits... But who on earth actually pays these prices? I'm sure the real-people equivalents of these could be found for far less, you know at Burke's or Ross or T.J. Maxx (and I do happen to have shoes very similar to the second pair). The most affordable pieces here are actually my jewelry. ;)

Meanwhile, because I clipped some of my Katya Valera jewelry to Polyvore, these pieces are available for anyone to use in their styles. And people have used them. Oh my word, I about fell over. People are picking my jewelry for their Polyvore creations! Yeah, pretty much made my night, that discovery did. Now to see if they get creeped out by the fact that I commented on their sets to thank them. ;)

Friday Favorites: Sparkle City, Dream Fashion, and Forest Treasures

Linking up with Style Elixir and friends for Fab Favorites again!

Friday finally! I'm extra excited about today because I finally get to visit with my best friend for a while. We live only about 35 minutes apart yet between our schedules and my wonderful health, you'd think we lived a couple hours apart based on how infrequently we get to do this!

What I'm loving:

1) This nail polish, given to me by above best friend.

In. sane. Sparkle. Seriously. It's "Dorothy Who?" by China Glaze and it is, I repeat, insane. Love it.

2) In case you missed it, I met Polyvore this past weekend. Oh dear.

And I have since spent much happy time on there. (Follow me! ;) You should give it a try if you haven't--and it's even more fun if you sell jewelry online ... that's all I'll say for now. But trust me, you'll be seeing much more of it around here as time goes on.

3) This super unique, super lovely Etsy shop:

I found Emily and her shop, Moss of the Woods, in the happy little world of Etsy forums, and she is as talented as her botanical expertise is impressive.

Her passion for nature drives her creations, and she knows every single thing about every treasure her resin jewelry contains, all the way to their scientific names, which are often included in the pieces.

I think this piece is my current favorite, available here.

Unique pendants and earrings for nature lovers or anyone who loves an earthy or even boho flair to their jewelry would love a piece from her shop. (And p.s. her packaging is just so perfect.)

Do head over to her shop and take a look around--so many perfect gifts are to be found there!

Happy Weekend, and Happy Spring!

Oh, and speaking of spring, there's only a couple of days left to enter my welcoming-spring giveaway! You can get more info and enter it here.
