Bridesmaid Jewelry Part I: Earrings

It's that time of year--wedding planning season! So many brides-to-be are searching for the perfect jewelry for their bridesmaids. So I wanted to help some of you out and highlight some of the many options to be found at Katya Valera!

The Package Deal

The necklace features an assortment of bold black beads, green beads, and silver beads, among the black ones being two chunky vintage beads. All are hand-wired onto thin silver tone chain that closes with a lobster clasp. The earrings use very similar beads and hang from silver tone fishhooks, ready to be worn with the necklace or other pieces.

Here's the catch: there's only one of these necklaces, and only one pair of the earrings! So when they're gone, they're gone. The necklace is for sale here in my Etsy shop.

All About Vintage!

I just love giving new life to vintage pieces!  I always have pieces sitting around waiting to be used, vintage ones being among them, and lately I've finally gotten the chance to use them.

This piece's pendant is accented with a vintage orange bead. Available here.

Sometimes a vintage component is just incorporated and isn't the focus of the piece.

A lot of times a piece uses vintage beads that I have acquired as they are.

Well, I am thrilled that the custom orders just keep coming as this new year goes on!

And I love making something just for a specific customer. Sometimes they have a certain look in mind, or they want earrings to match a Katya Valera necklace they’ve already bought. 

A custom gift is a great idea for a special occasion—especially Valentine’s Day!

Simplicity Has Arrived

We're well into the new year--already--and also well into new pieces in my Etsy shop!

Somehow I'm in a simplicity kick, so minimalist lovers, there's a lot here with your name on it!

My jewelry making tends to come in phases, so while simple's here for now, who knows what's next!

And since I finally, finally, finally have graduated from small clear boxes to big ol’ drawers for my supplies…

 

...things are really gonna start getting exciting! Just as soon as this cold or whatever it is finally goes away and I’m back to my version of normal (see my about page for what in the world that means).
